The story is a fashionable romance by the author Kaye and keeps the readers interesting as they turn each page of the book. The story starts with Jon coming to know that his mother would go to an island to meet her lover once a year and she has passed away a few days ago. As Jon does not know what to do, her sister, Sarah, tells him to meet their mother’s lover and inform him of the news. As he had a business along the islands with the mayor, he agrees and it would be easier for him. Victor, who is the mayor of the Bain islands, asks her daughter Maddie to visit his lover at the islands as he is taking care of his ex-wife who is on a wheelchair. She agrees unwillingly as her father insists. Jon and Maddie meets each other on the ferry and they get to a cottage without knowing each other and why are they there for. They were not able to move from the cottage sue to heavy storm outside. They share each other’s secrets without knowing each other and they spend that night in the cottage making love. They leave the cottage promising that they will meet after one year from then. When Jon goes to Bain Island to meet Victor, he comes to know that Maddie is a Bain. He stays there for one week and he gets a zealous affair with Maddie. Will their love go on after getting to know their family secrets? The rest of the story comes with that end. To conclude, it is an entirely a new story from a new angle.
