A book is very much important for so many people, because a book gives people additional information and knowledge to learn more and more.  However according to research and surveys, those people who have higher income reads more books compared to those who are in just fair income in the society.  That is very true, but it doesn’t mean that those low incomes have a low knowledge it only means that they need to budget what they have for their living. It seems so sad for that matter but for sure those low incomes has their enough knowledge to make their lives important.

Our society really needs to develop in terms of this kind of situation, because even you have enough money to buy books but you still not interested on reading it then there is no sense about it. So, it is not important in what class you are, what is important is what you have learned and what you know in your mind.

The story begins with Will McGruder returning to the Amish roots in order to attend his father’s funeral. He was always a worthless and prodigal son to his father. When he attends the funeral, he remembers the day of his shames. While returning to his country, he recalls of his childhood and the events that made him to leave. Two stories go on parallel in time but the two stories bring the present the past events together. This adds a sense of mystery to the story and makes the reader to read the following part of the story. Many things like dedication, fear, love, bravery are explained well in the story that comes with the memories and it makes the readers to think about their own relationships while they come though the different parts of the story. An Amish custom named ‘bundling’ is explained well in the story and the effect of the custom on some people are explained too. The custom was the focus of the bigger part of the story. The story is totally about wisdom and some common sense combined together. The story is believable and very rich in history and the author has made it an enjoyable one for the readers.

The story starts with Amy Alexander walking out of the court after getting divorce from her husband who is always abusive and addicted to drugs. She felt free from the violence and the fights with her husband. Yet, she worried about the fact that she should work to bring up her two sons and she thought that she is not strong enough for that. In the later part of the story, the author describes how Amy’s two sons deal with the absence of their father and their memories how he did hurt their mother mentally and physically. Marshall is the fifteen year old son of Amy who is very perfect as a son and a student. He is mature enough for his age and very understanding too. He takes the role of the supporting man in the house and feels better that his mother is free from the torture of his father. On the other hand, Sean, Amy’s seven year old son is like every other children of his age group. He loves video games and playing with friends. He believes that as his father does not visit their house, he must hate him. The author has made the story a very inspirational one and for good character developing.

The Next Thing on My List is an entertaining story about a girl in Los Angeles. Her name is June Parker and she is in her thirties. She does not have any certain goals and she does not want to achieve anything even though she is very intelligent. Her only aim in life was to lose ten pounds. After a weight watchers meeting on a day, June agrees to give Marissa whom she knows slightly from the weight watchers. During the ride, Marissa unhooks her seatbelt in order to give June a soup. When she turns around, a dresser from the truck that was going before them falls into their car and they get into an accident and their car rolls several times. Marissa dies in the accident and June escapes death. When June checks Marissa’s bag, she finds a list titled “20 Things to do on my 25^th Birthday” and she had achieved the first two items. June feels guilt and decides that she should complete those things for Marissa. There are remaining 18 things to be finished and June has to finish them within less than a year’s time. Some of them are very easy like eating ice cream in public but some of them are life challenging. She turns out into a completely different personality completing these tasks. The author has made it very inspiring for the readers.

“One Snowy Night” is the third book of the “Dragons of the Challon” series and also a good one if read alone. The author writes the story against a thriving Scottish yuletide in the year 1296. In the beginning of the story Sir Noel de Servian goes to Craigendan to get his Scottish fief that was given to him by Edward I. He loses the path due to a severe snow storm and he is thrown away from his horse. He is then found by Lady Skena MacIain’s children and Lady Skena is in charge of Craigendan and she is a widow. She takes care of Noel and sends her children back to the keep and waits for help. But Noel gets injured by snow before the help arrives. She then takes him to her room and start working out to save his life. She then feels a deep sense of her sixth sense and as she heals Noel, the kenning flares between them and they bond with each other emotionally. Challon, a neighboring lord and Noel’s foster brother comes to check on Noel. Initially Skena and Challon mis-give each other and later they work to save Noel’s life. Noel announces himself as the lord of Craigendan as he gets physically fit and Skena has doubts with this issue. She is also haunted by the visions of her ex-husband who is dead. The rest of the story goes with the question whether Noel can win the heart of Skena and keep the community of Craigendan safe. The author has given a sharp and crisp story with his talent.

This book has a collection of various funny, sad, ordinary stories and all of the works by the author are very interesting. There are some forty stories in the book and each story has a lot of personal necessity. All these stories have some common characters that we come across in our daily life and also the big shots which we meet rarely. You can see and experience the part of New York which only the native can see and all of the stories are well written. These stories are not very much thrilling and it is not some comic book shows a little bit of humor in the beginning and some actions in the later part. Rather, these stories are real life experiences of the very normal people in their daily lives. Although the story is not interesting, you will the love the way it is told in all these stories. The main part is the story of the author who lives in New York. The book explains and describes all these ordinary things from a different angle which makes the book more attractive. Reading this book makes you think of your own experience and being in this world.

Every book by the author Colleen Coble is a masterpiece and every single book has some Christianity explained. The story of this book starts with a ship exploding causing fire in the ship and the ship wrecks due to which the ship starts sinking. Many escaped through a lifeboat and of course there is no space for all in the lifeboat. The lifeboat heads toward a rocky shore and the boat could not make it to the shore. It breaks before reaching the shore. At that time baby Julia was thrown into a woman’s arms. Due to the ship breaking, many people died and only a very few made it to the shore. There was no evidence of the baby’s mother, Laura. Then the story advances to the future to find Addie Sullivan and her mother Josephine, who was the lighthouse keeper. Walter Driscoll who was thought to be Addie’s uncle was found injured and treated by Addie and her mother. Then Addie comes to know the truth that Josephine was not his real mother, but a step mother. She later leaves with Driscoll to find her real family and there is no doubt that she had questioned a lot about the person in the picture whom she had in locket looked very much like her and she has questioned about this a lot. She later works as a governess to Edward, John North’s son of his first wife. Uncle Walter is the only person who knows the secret. Later, Edward and Addie become very close and fall in love with each other. Addie wants to search her family on her own. The later part is the story when she faces the problems when Edward’s family comes to know about her and how her father was selfish though he comes to know the truth later. As a conclusion, the author has made it the best for all the situations.
